Seventy-Five Years of Keeping Portland Cold
Rollie F. Gallagher started this company in 1949 with a truck and a phone number. Three generations later we still do the same thing: keep commercial refrigeration running for the restaurants, breweries, grocers, hospitals, hotels, schools, and care facilities of the Pacific Northwest.
Our Story
One Contractor Instead of Four Vendors
Most commercial refrigeration companies do one thing. They fix equipment, or they build cold storage, or they sell parts, or they deliver gas. When a restaurant remodels or a brewery expands, that means chasing four different vendors and hoping their schedules line up.
We built the other model on purpose. Our service department handles emergency repair and preventive maintenance. Our construction department is licensed under Oregon CCB #65271 to design, permit, and build walk-in coolers and cold-storage rooms. Our parts counter stocks the components that fail most often. Our gas department runs scheduled and emergency delivery of CO2, nitrogen, argon, oxygen, and beer gas mixes across the Portland Metro area.
That combination matters in practice. A brewery can get glycol chiller service and a CO2 drop on the same account. A restaurant that just lost a compressor can hear both the repair price and the replacement price from the same technician. A facilities manager planning a build-out gets one contractor accountable for the whole job.
We are also a factory-authorized warranty service provider for 18+ major brands, which means manufacturer-trained technicians and genuine OEM parts. If your equipment is still under coverage, authorized service protects that coverage instead of voiding it.

How We Work
Four Rules We Do Not Bend
Diagnose before you quote
We find the actual fault before recommending a repair. Guessing costs you money and costs us trust.
Uptime is the product
Every recommendation gets weighed against what downtime costs you in product, labor, and lost service.
Do it to code
Licensed, permitted, inspected. Our build work is documented so your inspector and insurer have what they need.
Say what we mean
If a unit is not worth repairing, we say so. If a warranty covers it, we tell you before we bill you.
