Commercial Gas Supply for Portland Businesses

Bars, breweries, restaurants, and labs across Portland rely on us for dependable gas supply: Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Argon, Nitrogen, Beer Gas mixes, Oxygen, and bulk gas services. We offer both pre-scheduled delivery and emergency dispatch, so you do not lose beverage or process service mid-shift, with cylinder and bulk options sized to your volume.

Which gas your system actually needs

Food-grade CO2 is the workhorse. It carbonates soda, pushes standard draft systems, and runs your fountain guns. Beverage applications need food-grade gas specifically, and that is what we supply for them.

Nitrogen and 75/25 beer gas blends exist because pure CO2 has a limit. On a long draft line, or a system running at higher pressure to reach a distant cooler, pure CO2 keeps dissolving into the beer on the way to the tap and you end up over-carbonated and foamy. A nitrogen blend gives you the push without the extra carbonation. Nitro pours need nitrogen outright for the cascade and the tight head.

Argon, oxygen, and specialty gases cover the non-beverage side: laboratory work, welding, food packaging, and process applications. We supply the purity grades those uses require.

Cylinders, bulk, and how the hardware fits together

Most Portland accounts run high-pressure cylinders with a primary regulator setting system pressure and secondary regulators tuning individual product lines. Add a gas manifold when you need multiple cylinders on one line so a swap does not interrupt service, and a flow meter when you want visibility into consumption instead of guessing. All of it connects on standard CGA fittings sized to the gas.

Once volume gets high and steady enough, bulk gas dewars change the math: lower cost per pound, fewer swaps, less cylinder handling for your staff. Bulk needs space and proper siting, so we look at the storage area before recommending it rather than after.

Scheduled routes beat emergency calls

Running out is the expensive way to buy gas. Emergency dispatch exists and we do it, but a scheduled route sized to your real consumption costs less per unit, removes the level-checking chore from your closing routine, and means the driver swaps empties before anybody notices.

If you are not sure what your usage looks like, tell us kegs per week and fountain volume and we will estimate it. Pair that with a single backup cylinder as safety stock and mid-shift outages effectively stop, which is the whole point of a priority gas delivery account.

We deliver throughout the Portland Metro area and across both river crossings into Clark County, Washington, so Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, and Battle Ground accounts get the same routes as Oregon-side ones.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Us for Gas Delivery

Gas and refrigeration on one account

Your glycol chiller service and your CO2 drop can come from the same company. For breweries and taprooms that removes an entire vendor relationship.

Emergency out-of-gas dispatch

Running dry at 7 PM on a Friday stops draft and soda service cold. We dispatch emergency deliveries across the Portland Metro area.

Food-grade CO2 for beverage use

Beverage dispensing and carbonation need food-grade gas, not whatever is cheapest. We supply the correct grade for the application.

Cylinder or bulk, sized to you

High steady volume tips toward bulk dewars, lower volume stays on high-pressure cylinders. We assess siting and storage before recommending a switch.

Routes across the Metro and Clark County

Portland, Washington County, Clackamas County, and across the river into Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, and Battle Ground.

Seventy-five years of local service

The gas department is not a side business bolted onto a repair shop. It has run alongside our service work for decades.

The Process

How Our Gas Delivery Works

  1. 1

    Tell us what you pour

Kegs per week, fountain volume, and any lab or process gas needs. That is enough to estimate consumption and pick a cylinder size.

  2. 2

    We set up the account

Gas types, grades, cylinder format, delivery cadence, and site access, including where cylinders can be safely staged.

  3. 3

    Delivery on a route

Our driver swaps empties for fulls on a regular schedule so you are not tracking levels between shifts.

  4. 4

    Emergency backup

If you run dry between drops, call the emergency line. We also recommend a backup cylinder as safety stock so it stops happening.

Got Questions?

Gas Delivery FAQs

What gases do you deliver?
Food-grade Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen, Argon, Beer Gas mixes including 75/25 blends, Oxygen, and bulk gas services. We deliver throughout the Portland Metro area and across the river into Clark County, WA.
How often will I need a delivery?
It depends on volume. A bar pouring ten kegs a week plus fountain soda burns through CO2 far faster than a cafe with one soda gun. We size the cadence to your actual usage so cylinders get swapped before you run low, not after.
What is the difference between pure CO2 and a beer gas blend?
Pure CO2 carbonates and pushes most standard draft systems. Long draft lines and nitro pours need nitrogen or a blend, commonly 75/25 nitrogen to CO2, so the beer arrives at the tap without over-carbonating on the way. Using the wrong gas shows up immediately in foam and mouthfeel.
Do you deliver emergency CO2 when we run out mid-shift?
Yes. Call the emergency line and we dispatch across the Portland Metro area. After the emergency drop we usually recommend adding a backup cylinder as safety stock and moving you onto a scheduled route so it does not repeat.
Should I use cylinders or bulk?
High, steady usage makes bulk dewars cheaper per unit and cuts down on swap frequency. Lower or seasonal volume stays on high-pressure cylinders. Bulk also needs more space and proper siting, so we look at your storage area before recommending it.
Is your CO2 food grade?
Yes, for beverage applications we supply food-grade CO2 rated for carbonation and dispensing. Industrial and specialty applications get the appropriate purity grade for that use instead.
Do you supply high-purity gas for labs?
Yes. We supply nitrogen, argon, and oxygen in purity grades suited to laboratory, food, and industrial applications, and we can consolidate multiple specialty gases onto one scheduled delivery.
Do you deliver to Vancouver and Camas, WA?
Yes. Clark County stops are batched onto a shared route so Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, and Battle Ground can all be covered on the same trip. We route around the I-5 bridge when it is backed up.
